Larry is one of our asbestos trust claimants. A retired Army Aviator and Lt. Colonel, Larry is a Vietnam War wounded warrior and a combat 100% disabled veteran. He served as an enlisted Infantryman, warrant officer pilot, and commissioned officer. Larry is best known as the author of the award-winning BLADES OF THUNDER Book One, an account of his experiences as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He also writes a weekly column for the Beaufort, SC ISLAND NEWS newspaper and writes articles on veterans’ benefits, hospice, and end-of-life planning.  
 
Larry also volunteers as a Good Will Ambassador for Fisher House Charleston, a Patient Adviser at the Charleston, SC VA Medical Center, and as the VP for Veteran Affairs for the Coastal SC Chapter of the Association of the US Army. A member of the Screen Actors Guild, he played Corporal Arnold Sowdowski on Army Wives.

All of the asbestos trusts have very similar lists of medical conditions for which the trust will provide compensation. These conditions are asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, a few rare other cancers, and breathing problems caused by damage to the lungs.
